Washing Instructions for Cotton Tees and Hoodies
Step 1: Turn Your Garment Inside Out
This is non-negotiable. Turning the hoodie or tee inside out protects the printed surface from rubbing against other clothes. Pro tip: Fasten zippers on hoodies to prevent snagging.
Step 2: Set the Machine to Cold Water (30°C or Below)
Cold water preserves both cotton fibers and the print. Use a gentle cycle with low spin speed (max 600 RPM). Hot water is the enemy - it relaxes the cotton weave and softens the ink bond. If you must use warm, keep it under 30°C.
Step 3: Use a Mild Detergent - No Bleach or Fabric Softener
Bleach attacks the ink pigments directly. Fabric softener coats cotton fibers and reduces breathability. I recommend a small amount of liquid detergent (about 2 tablespoons) for a full load. Avoid powders with optical brighteners.
Step 4: Wash with Similar Colors and Fabrics
Dark xQc hoodies should only be washed with other darks. Light tees can go with whites or lights. Mixing colors risks dye transfer. Also, don't overload the machine - your Sweat Shack Hoodie needs room to move.
Common mistake: 70% of people use too much detergent. Excess soap leaves residue that yellows the fabric over time. Run an extra rinse cycle if you see suds.
